OUR STORY

In November of 2019, our company began with an elevator pitch. As a student at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) Alexandra Joelson was tired of her soccer cleats falling apart, and was ready to fix the problem herself. She gave her pitch for a solution at the annual Cal Poly Elevator Pitch competition and won, inspiring others to build with her. She built a team, and together, with fellow student Samuel Andrews, co-founded Intego technology. The two students joined the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and swept through every program the Center had to offer. Since then our work has evolved beyond the desire for reliable footwear to a desire for a reliable footwear industry. We identified issues in industry with product quality, wasteful and unethical manufacturing and inefficiency in production, so we set out to redesign the way shoes are made in a way which would address all of these issues simultaneously.
